Hello My Name is Nicole and I am FAT!!!!!

Okay so, I know I asked what some of you thought about me doing Vlogs on weight loss, but I don’t think I want to do that on my beauty channel.  I have decided to start small on my blog because I have fewer followers and I am much more comfortable with that.  So here goes…..

Last night I was editing a video to upload to my channel and I clicked on a very candid video that was taken of me just that week.  I was horrified at what I saw!  I mean, I know I see myself on camera a lot because of the videos I make, but this was different.  This was full body shots of me moving about as if there was not a camera around.  I had NO idea I looked the way I do.  Now, not to be dramatic, I know it could be worse.  I just feel like for me this has gone way too far and I am ready to get on a healthy path.  Last year in July I started to lose weight and I lost a total of 32 pounds.  I was down to a size 5/6 and was feeling pretty good about myself.  No, no! I was feeling amazing about myself!  Now I have gained back close to all of the weight and I am so unhappy and insecure.  I have 1 pair of jeans that fit me because I threw away all of my “fat” jeans for fear that I would ever want to go back to my old ways.  So now I am wearing the same pair of pants almost daily.  I also refuse to buy more “fat” jeans, so here I am……….stuck.  My only option is to get back into shape.  Oh and I forgot to mention that the last time I lost weight, I did it the right way by using a weight watchers sort of App on my phone and I was doing a lot of cardio.  My problem was that I did NO weight training so I was flabby.  It looked nice, but go squeeze my arm and it was all a façade.  So now it’s time to update my app (WWDiary For Android FREE!), eat right and exercise my booty off!  I am so ready for this.  I am making a list and going to the grocery store now.  I can post what I am going to pick up so you can see what my diet will consist of.  Keep in mind, I am trying to do very low carb and I am not trying to cut out a lot of my fats so you might see chicken with skin or 2% cottage cheese instead of nonfat.  I will be posting my exercise and food diets as much as I can.  I am not comfortable posting my weight, so I will let you know how many pounds I have lost as in “ooooh 3 pounds to day” sort of thing.  I would also love, love, love it if you would help me by posting tips, tricks and stories.  I need all of the inspiration I can get.  We all know this isn’t an easy thing to do.  The goal can seem so far away and sometimes it is easier to give in to our instant desires rather than work toward the long haul.  I hope this help someone out there and if not, well, it’s helping me.  Love you guys!  XOXO

  1. Hi Nicole,
First off you look great! I am new to the blog and YouTube circle. I happen to come across one of your videos researching a product. I subscribed right away. I love the fact that you use basic brands. Not all of us can afford the high end cosmetics. Now that I have said that let’s talk about your weight loss journey. I think it is a great idea to blog about it. It gives your readers and yourself the sense of having a buddy along the way. I am also in the battle of the bulge. Three kids and three years at home have wreaked havoc on my waistline. Fat genes do not help either. Almost two years ago I gave birth to my third and last child. While I was pregnant with him I developed gestational diabetes. I went to a diabetic nutrition class to learn the process of a diabetic diet. I have to say out of everything I tried this was a true success. I wish I had stayed on but months without my sweet tea was my demise. It is very easy to follow because you use everyday foods and don’t have to go out and spend a fortune on diet food. The hardest part was actually eating. You eat every two to three hours so sometimes it seems you are practically stuffing the food down. I didn’t gain any weight and actually weighed fifteen pounds less after I delivered. There are other health benefits as well such as for heart problems or high blood pressure. My sister is 29 and five years ago had to go on a blood pressure medicine. She started this diet and was able to stop taking the medication. Her doctor was amazed and told her that it was rare for anyone to be able to completely stop taking the medication. So it does work. If you are interested, check with your local hospital about the classes. I look forward to reading your progress. Good luck!

  2. Hi Nicole!!As the girl above said you look amazing and I'm a new subscriber of yours on youtube!!!I love love love your videos!BTW has anyone ever told you you look very greek or european in general?you do!!
Ok on to the diet part....I'm 20year old and always been thin, like parents chasing me to eat thin...Maybe it was cause I was tall,I reached 5'4 when I was 10 and my period started and didn't grow any taller after this which is where I started gaining weight..Still I was at normal weight till 17...like 120-125....17 is a very critical age if you're living in greece (I'm gonna ramble right here so please bear with me).Universities here are for free, you don't pay but in order to attend you have to give national exams which are extremely difficult....So 17 was extremely stressful for me.The anxiety made me eat A LOT...As a result I gained 40 pounds!!!!yes 40!!!! You can imagine my shock when after all was over I looked myself in the mirror...it was like I doubled up!!!So I immediately started diet and exercising,I lost 27 pounds in 3-4 months and was very happy with myself!unfortunately the last year I gained back 20 pounds cause I love food!!!I just do!!but I like healthy stuff too...So I'm motivated to start again and finally reach my goal which is to get down to 130 pounds....It was really good that I searched your blog today cause thinking that someone else goes through the same as me is encouraging!!!!Good luck to both of us :P

  3. Hi Nichole. I just started following your blog and youtube channgel not too long ago. I agree with both ladies above that you look amazing! But I know that us women know the best angles that work for our advantage ;) I'm on the same page as you and Victora (above). I'm 5'3 and have been battling weight gain for about 4 years now. My weight goes up & down. Right now it's on a downward spiral but I need to make sure it keeps going down until my goal weight (135). I'm at around 150. Although most people say I look fine I hate this "extra" weight! Shorties have to be careful with extra weight. I need to be more motivated and find time to exercise. I'm hoping I get motivated SOON lol I'll be blogging my weight battle journey once I actually start it. I hope to read more about yours and see your progess. Reading about others with the same struggles & goals are very encouraging.
    GOOD LUCK GIRLS!!
